Our Commitment

Selfward is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to provide a website and application that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.

Accessibility Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are widely regarded as the international standard for web accessibility. WCAG 2.1 AA covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to users with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and other disabilities.

Accessibility Features

Our Service includes the following accessibility features:

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading structure, landmarks, and ARIA attributes throughout the application
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. You can navigate through the assessment, view results, and manage your account without a mouse.
  • Color Contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, meeting WCAG AA requirements
  • Screen Reader Compatibility: Our pages are tested with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) and include descriptive labels for all interactive elements
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements when navigating with a keyboard
  • Responsive Design: The Service adapts to different screen sizes and orientations, and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content
  • Alternative Text: All meaningful images and charts include descriptive alternative text
  • Form Labels: All form fields have associated labels and error messages are clearly communicated

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • AI-generated report content may occasionally use complex language that could be challenging for screen readers to parse
  • Some data visualization charts (radar charts, bar charts) convey information visually that may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. We provide data tables as alternatives where possible.
  • Third-party embedded content (App Store/Play Store payment flows) may have accessibility characteristics outside our direct control
  • PDF downloads of clinical reports may have limited accessibility compared to the web-based version
